What is poop scooping?

At Captain Poop we save you the hassle of collecting and disposing of all dog waste deposited by your furry friend in your yard. All waste is taken offsite and disposed of responsibly.

Can dog poop be composted?

Due to the pathogens present in dog waste, it is not suitable for composting as it can harm people, other animals, or the environment. The bacteria and parasites commonly present in dog waste are not destroyed at typical composting temperatures and thus can still be present after decomposition. This can then spread to humans by activities such as gardening or growing vegetables.

What are the benefits of poop scooping?

Dog waste is certainly not attractive and can contain harmful bacteria and parasites that can be transmitted to humans. Additionally, no one likes shoe magnets when trying to enjoy their yard. But let’s face it, scooping poop is time-consuming and not something most people look forward to. Hiring a professional can free up your time to do other things you enjoy.

Who uses Captain Poop?

You’d be surprised who uses Captain Poop’s dog waste collection, but they all have one thing in common – a love for their furry friends. From single mums running between school pickups to elderly couples in their twilight years, Captain Poop is there to save you time and protect your family.

How much does it cost?

Starting from as little as $20 for a twice weekly service ($40 per week) or $25 for a once weekly service Captain Poop can keep your yard clean. All services are paid monthly in advance and can be cancelled or suspended at any time.

For a limited time to new customers, book a weekly service, and your first week is free! Also, if you refer a friend to our weekly service, you get an additional week free for yourself.

How do you prevent disease spread?

Captain Poop treats your dogs like our own. After each service we disinfect all equipment and shoes with hospital grade disinfectant to prevent transmission of pathogens between yards.

What if I go on holiday and want to pause my service?

Let us know before you leave, and we’ll suspend your service until you get back. Enjoy your holiday 🙂

What if my grass is long?

At Captain Poop we always strive for excellence however we can only scoop the poop we can find. Maintaining the height of your grass will assist our Captain Poop technicians in accurately locating and disposing of your pup’s prizes.
